The inaugural vintage of the Road 13 Rosé. Designed to be a serious and contemplative counterpoint to our fun and cheerful Honest John’s Rose, this wine delivers everything the discerning Rose drinker is looking for.
This impressive wine opens with powerful notes of black cherry, black currant, roast beef, sage and wild game interwoven with lashings of pepper, tobacco, vanilla and cream. The tremendous aromatic complexity carries onto the palate, which is supremely rich and supple, with abundant, silky tannins.
The 2017 Jackpot Petit Verdot has a gorgeous dark, almost opaque blue/purple tint. The nose is vibrant and showcases classic and complex aromas of black currant, black cherry, Iodine, graphite, pencil shavings, violets and lavender.
On the palate, these flavours are joined by notes of dark plum, spicy cigar box, and delicate lashings of vanilla bean. Texturally, the palate is full and mouth-coating, but very soft and elegant, with a long finish.
