Winemaker Notes
The majority of the fruit for this wine came from vineyards in the Similkameen Valley with some of the minor parts of the blend (less than 5%) coming from our vineyards in the Okanagan Valley. All components of this wine were fermented and aged separately in 25% new French oak for 16 months before final blending.

This bold, full-bodied red is bursting with black currant and BBQ spices on the nose and brimming with blackberry and currant on the palate. The balance of spice, oak, and acidity make this big Cab the perfect companion for cheese, charcuterie, dark chocolate or a fine cigar. Decant it an hour or two before serving—if you’ve got that kind of time.
Vineyard Notes
The 2018 growing season got off to a great start but in mid-July smoke from fires in the Pacific Northwest blocked much of the sunlight which slowed down ripening dramatically. The result of this was wines with lower alcohol levels, ripe fruit flavours and balanced acidity.
