TASTING NOTES

Deep, dark garnet red colour and aromas of black cherry, leather, and subtle notes of oak are followed by rich ripe fruit notes and a firm, but silky finish. The acidity balances the fruit, tannin and oak notes and provides a lengthy finish to savour this wines complexity. This wine is a call for celebration and pairs well with good friends and a firey grill. 

FIELD REPORT

The 2017 growing season experienced higher than normal rainfall and a cool spring gave way to some of the warmest, driest summers in 40 years. Smoke from the forest fires in other areas of the province reflected much of the heat away from the vines, resulting in high flavour intensity, moderate sugars and solid levels of acidity.
